Hi,

This is the start of our Major fund raising event planning meeting and it is critical that all who are involved or want to participate attend.  The June fund raiser which features the G-Clefts (a favorite of mine) will take place on June 6th and we need to start planning and working this event.  The success of this fund raiser is very much part of the future of Temple Shalom as the funds will be crucial to sustain the congregation and its growth.  We are aiming to fill the sanctuary with paid attendees and this should be quite do-able, along with support of other institutions in the Salem area.  We will need ad-book sales, ticket sales, flyers and PR dispersment, graphic arts support, food & wine specialist and volunteers/hosts for the event.  Cindy and I are chairing this event, but YOU are needed to support, work and help make this a success.  This is not hard.  We have a formula and a history, that if we do the things we are supposed to do, we should generate twelve to twenty THOUSAND dollars.  Now, if you can not help or are busy with other life issues, that's ok, we'll take a check and your off the hook.  Otherwise, I know who you are and I am coming after you;  you do not really want a bald banshee chasing you around, it'll look awful down the isles of Whole Foods.

Seriously, Cindy and I, and more important, the Temple and your fellow congregants need your help.  I said before it will not be hard and tasks can be broken down into very manageable bits.  Thank you all for your support and I hope to see as many as possible at our Fund Raising Oranizational meeting this Thursday,  starting approximately at 6:30 PM and lasting no later than 8:00
